Sunday February 22, 2009
Now in it’s 12th year the TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathlon is the premier short course duathlon in the southwest United States. This race is for everyone, from first-timers to elite athletes, as well as friends and family.
Because the February race is a qualifier for the world duathlon championships, the TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathlon draws a strong field of top age groupers from throughout the United States. It is also popular with many pros who use the race as an early season test of fitness. And immediately after the race there is even a kid’s duathlon making the entire event a family affair
A great course, unique desert venue, warm weather, plenty of sunshine, fun music, great awards, a huge raffle and racing alongside some of the best athletes on the planet all make the TriSports.com Desert Classic Duathlon the essence of what we love about our sport.
